A guide to effective print marketing for your small business.
You have created a product worth sharing with the world. The next step is putting yourself out there. Farmers markets are a popular way to connect with potential customers in a one-on-one local community setting, and print marketing plays a major role in the success of your brand.
Draw them in with bold signage
Your first mission at the market is to get noticed. Eye catching signage and displays will create interest and draw customers to your booth. This can include hanging or retractable banners, A-frame signs, posters, price lists, product signs, and more. Ensure your displays are clearly posted and easy to read, so your customers can quickly find the information they need. Remember, your main signage should be visible from up to 20 feet away in order to be effective. Printed table cloths and even a custom tent canopy are also excellent ways to maximize your display without sacrificing precious table real estate.
A professional looking brand will stand out
A clean and polished look will help you stand out from other vendors and increase brand recognition for your product. This is especially important to allow returning customers to easily find and recognize your products. Product labels, hang tags, and packaging all work to make your items look professional, as well as keep items clean and organized. Don’t forget to finish your look with branded aprons, t-shirts, and name tags.
Give them something to remember you
Keep your customers coming back with loyalty cards, coupons and more. Informative pieces such as brochures and flyers give them a deeper understanding of what you do, while business cards are a must for creating a direct line of contact between you and your customer. If you are a food vendor, consider offering recipe cards featuring your ingredients as a value added extra for your customer. Depending on your product, providing free samples can also be an extremely effective tool.
In order to succeed at any farmers’ market, it is crucial to ensure your business is well branded with clean, organized displays. Strong signage, professional packaging, and providing your customers with a little something extra are all effective ways to stand out and be remembered amidst the crowd. Step up your vendor game with print marketing and watch your business grow.
